The Set

Hair is first combed in the direction it will take in the finished style.

Crown is set with medium rollers for lift. Setting tape (yes it's still around!) is used to "set" the bangs and guiches

Side view shows large, half-moon cheek curls (these form the guiche on the sides). Setting tape is used on the sides to keep the hair smooth.

Neckline is also set with tape to keep a close-to-the-head shape.
