As you can see from this screenshot of the Walmart website, Nexxus Aloe Rid can cost as much as $ 199.72 USD.  You can also see that it is sold out at the moment.  You will naturally have two questions.  Why does it cost so much?  And why is it sold out?

This is because there is a secret to be known about this shampoo.  It is widely used in an attempt to beat the most accurate drug test ever created, the hair lab analysis.

Who should buy this?

If you have a hair drug test coming up and you know that you have done drugs within the last 90 days, you can use this shampoo as a way to get the drug residues out of your hair.  This shampoo is sometimes used alone but often used as part of a method.  The most popular methods are The Macujo Method and the Jerry G method.  We will describe both further down.

Why do I need this shampoo?

This shampoo is possibly the most popular shampoo used to beat a drug test.  Originally, the shampoo of choice was Old-style Aloe Rid.

This shampoo was discontinued for a while for unknown reasons.  It was then sold to another company.  Now, it is known to be sold by  Test clear. This is possibly the only place to get the formula and it costs $ 235 for a few ounces of shampoo.  It’s about as expensive as vintage wine from half a century ago.  It is claimed that the old style might be more powerful at removing drug residues; however, it can be hard to get your hands on.  Old Style Aloe Toxin Rid sold on any other site than Testclear official website is likely to be fake.  Scammers can charge hundreds of dollars and give you regular shampoo in an Old Style bottle.  This is one reason you might want to use the new style Nexxus Aloe Rid.  It is formulated to remove toxins from the hair that used to be sold on popular websites.  You could get it from Amazon, and sometimes from Walmart when it’s not sold out.  We have heard a rumor the new product has also been discontinued, but a few bottles are still out there.

Directions: How to use Nexxus Aloe Rid Shampoo

The directions to using Nexxus Aloe Rid are simple, you can use it like any regular shampoo.  If you are going to use it without using a hair detox method, you may want to wash your hair several times and make sure you really get down into the hair right next to the scalp as the first 1.5 inches of hair next to the scalp is what is going to be tested.

Nexxus Aloe Rid Shampoo instructions for best results

  1. Moisten your hair by adding a bit of water to it. Make sure you get down to the 1.5 inches coming from the scalp.
  2. Add about 2 teaspoons of shampoo to the hair.
  3. Massage your shampoo into the hair right down to the scalp.
  4. Leave it in for three minutes.
  5. Rinse your hair with warm water.
  6. Dry your hair or proceed with the Macujo or Jerry G method.

You are gonna want to do this about 5 times before the test if you are using it alone without a method.  If you are using 2 teaspoons of shampoo, you will have plenty to use.  However, the best results come with using a method such as described below.

The Macujo Method to Pass a Hair Follicle Test

Using Nexxus Aloe Rid Shampoo is not alone enough to pass a hair analysis drug test.  You need to use a method such as described in order to break open the hair follicle and let the drug residues leech out.  This will work for weed detox and pass a drug test for any drugs whatsoever.

Here’s what you’re gonna need:

Ingredients

  • Disposable Gloves
  • Goggles
  • Pack of liquid Tide detergent
  • Pink Clean and Clear acne wash
  • Shower caps
  • Sink
  • Towel
  • Toxin rid shampoo with Aloe
  • Ultra Clean by Zydot shampoo
  • Warm water
  • White vinegar
  • Baking soda

Steps:

  1. Shampoo your hair as described above with Nexxus Aloe Rid shampoo.
  2. Add a bit of water to your baking soda and massage the paste into your hair. Get it down in the roots.  Now rinse it out and dry your hair.
  3. Put Vaseline around your hairline so you can now use the Pink Clean and Clear Acne wash as a shampoo. Massage it in for seven minutes.  You’re gonna leave it in for 7 minutes.  It’s gonna break open the hair shaft.
  4. With the acne wash still in, ad a dab of Tide liquid detergent. Shampoo it in.
  5. Now shampoo with Nexxus Aloe Rid. Rinse it good.
  6. Now massage the vinegar into your hair.
  7. Add the acne wash again and let it marinate for 30 minutes. Now the drug residues are leaking out.
  8. Rinse it all out and dry your hair with a towel.
  9. Shampoo with a dab of Tide liquid detergent once more.
  10. Now shampoo with Ultra Clean by Zydot.

This regimen may seem harsh, but you have to cause a bit of damage to the hair to get the drug residues out of the hair shaft.  If you are getting a hair drug test, they are dead serious.  Because the test is accurate for up to 90 days, and it is expensive.  Whoever is paying for it is serious about weeding out those who use drugs.  We should add that we are describing what others have done to beat drug tests, not telling you that you should do this.  These methods can cause damage to the hair and scalp, so if you use a method, do your research and accept the consequences and risk should something go wrong.

The Jerry G Method

This is another method used to beat drug tests.  It is rumored to have been developed by a guy who collaborated with others on a drug privacy forum.  It uses hair bleaching to get into the hair shaft.  Bleaching and dying hair have been shown in one study to reduce drug residues significantly.  In a study exploring the Influence of the cosmetic treatment of hair on drug testing., drug residues were reduced by 40 % to 60 % by one round of bleaching and dyeing.  Here’s what you’ll need:

Equipment

  • Nexxus Aloe Rid Shampoo
  • 2 treatments of hair bleach and dye containing ammonia
  • Zydot Ultra clean detox shampoo
  • Baking soda
  • Water

Steps:

  1. 10 days before your test, bleach, and dye your hair. Use a hair dye that is the same as your natural color so that it is not obvious that you may be doing this to beat a drug test.  The bleach and dye package you use should contain ammonia.  It goes without saying that you should cease all drug use at this time.  Do this to be on the safe side, though technically, drugs used from 5-7 days before the test cannot be detected.  But they may spring a saliva test or something on you, or drugs may get in your hair by your touching it and putting it in your hair aka contamination.  Also, drug residues will be transported from the sweat and sebum into the hair if you continue using drugs.  So, be on the safe side and cease drug use.  But if you slip up within the last 5 days before the test, it can’t be detected in your hair yet so you’ll be fine.
  2. Now wash your hair with Nexxus Aloe Rid shampoo.
  3. Dry your hair with a towel.
  4. On the day before the test, repeat the bleaching and dyeing of your hair. Wash with Nexxus Aloe Rid.  Towel dry.
  5. On the day of the test, make a baking soda paste with your baking soda and a little water. Shampoo with baking soda.  Then shampoo with Nexxus Aloe rid, lastly, shampoo with Zydot Ultra Clean.

Now, you’ve bleached and dyed your hair twice and shampooed with baking soda, Nexxus, and Zydot detox shampoos.

A now-famous study published in The International Journal of Legal Medicine in 1997 showed that drug residues are reduced by 40 to 60 percent in the hair by bleaching and dyeing (Jurado, Kintz, and Menendez).  This includes a 30 % reduction in weed residues and a 60 % reduction in morphine residues.  Several studies have duplicated this result (Yegles, Marson, and Wennig) (Cirimele, Kintz, and Mangin).

Another study found that hair fibers saturated in dihydrocodeine, morphine, and codeine retained only 2 to 18 % of the original drug residues from bleaching and only 20 to 30 % after perming (Pötsch and Skopp).  These were formerly completely saturated in drug residues.  The reduction in both bleaching and perming may be enough to make the drugs undetectable for regular users with less saturation of drug residues.  This study used only bleaching and perming, without using dyeing.  It is not known if each bleach product contained ammonia also.  If you use bleaching and dyeing with a product containing ammonia, you will get massive reductions of drug residues.

Hair testing is a promising alternative to urine testing and has found use in a range of clinical, workplace drug testing, and forensic toxicology applications (). Although not without limitations (e.g., variable hair availability/length; participant concerns about cosmetic visibility of sample collection; and higher relative cost), hair testing has several properties that make it potentially well-suited for moderate-risk populations. It has an extended detection window of approximately 1 month per half-inch of hair. Thus, a 1.5-inch section of hair captures a 90-day window of drug use. This detection window makes hair testing particularly attractive for studies with individuals whose intermittent and lower frequency drug use patterns resist detection by urine testing.

There is a small chance that bleaching and dyeing your hair will increase the levels of some drugs that the hair will uptake from your sweat (Burgueño, Alonso, and Sánchez).  This is why it is very important that you don’t use drugs during the 10-day window, and earlier if possible.  Once you bleach your hair, it will more readily uptake drug residues from your sweat.  However, you will still end up with significantly fewer drug residues by bleaching and dyeing.  But do it twice as instructed by the Jerry G method and use your baking soda and shampoos to thwart the reuptake of drug residues from sweat.

Overall description:

Nexxus Aloe Rid is a shampoo designed to remove toxins from the hair.
nexxus aloe rid reviews
It is called Nexxus Aloe Rid Gentle Clarifying Shampoo in the long form.  To clarify is to clear up, in this case, toxins like air pollution, chlorine from water, chemicals of all kinds, and drug residues.  Microsphere technology is used to release the antioxidants, ceramides, nutrients, and hair protectants in the shampoo.  Think of these like little timed-release medicine balls.  Ceramides like methyl eicosanoic acid and cholesterol are natural components of hair that act like glue to reduce frizz.  Obviously, it contains aloe as well, known to be a protectant and restorative.   These will help your hair look less fried after the drug residues come out.  It will also replace the drug residues and make your hair look intact despite the damage done to it.

Also notable is that propylene glycol is missing from the ingredients list.  This is the ingredient that is thought to have been integral in the effectiveness of the Old Style Aloe Rid.  It’s not clear why the company took the ingredient out.  It has low toxicity and not to be confused with ethylene glycol which is anti-freeze.

Q & A

Q:  Is Nexxus Aloe Rid Shampoo for THC detox?
A:  Yes, if used with a hair detox method, Nexxus Aloe Rid will help remove THC residues from the hair.

Q: Can I use Nexxus Aloe Rid Shampoo to pass drug tests for opiates, alcohol, pills, cannabis, and other drugs?
A:  Yes.  Nexxus Aloe Rid with a detoxification method will help to pass lab tests of the hair for any drugs whatsoever.

Q: Where to buy Nexxus Aloe Rid Shampoo near me?
A:  You can buy Nexxus Aloe Rid online on Amazon, eBay, Target, Walmart, and other stores if it is available.  It is widely sold but sometimes sold out.  It can be expensive due to it being known that it can help you pass a lab analysis of the hair for drug residues.  The manufacture of the product may have been discontinued.

Q:  How long does it last?
A:  The testable hair, the first 1.5 inches from the scalp, will be clean indefinitely if you remain clear of drug use.  If you restart drug use, within days, new residues will be deposited in the hair.  It will take 90 days to regrow another 1.5 inches of hair.  The hair will remain clean unless you resume drug use.

Q: Can it be detected?
A:  The shampoo alone cannot be detected.  If you dye your hair a color other than your natural color, they may invalidate your hair sample.  Therefore, try to leave your hair looking as natural as possible if you use the proven bleaching and dyeing method.

does nexxus aloe rid really work
This user claims the original formula hasn’t been sold since 2006.  Even the new formula has been discontinued by the manufacturer.  That’s why it’s become so expensive.  Therefore, if you are suspicious that none of the products sold online are neither the original formula nor the new formula, opt for a cheaper detox shampoo like Zydot Ultra Clean.

Adding to the saga, a new old-style generic is being sold on sites like Amazon.

nexxus aloe rid instructions

The seller claims this shampoo has all of the original ingredients, including propylene glycol, thought to be an active ingredient.  You be the judge.  Only time, trial, and error will tell if any of these new shampoos live up to the effectiveness of the old shampoo.

The same according to Toxin Rid reviews detox systems for anyone who has a moderate amount of time before their drug test and is looking for a thorough detox. Both the 5 and 10-Day detox systems may work for moderate to heavy consumers. We recommend, especially for heavy users, using the 10-Day Detox, if you know that you have at least a ten-day window before your test. If not, no worries, we had good results with the 5-Day program as well.

Conclusion:  Does Nexxus Aloe Rid Shampoo really work?

In conclusion, the old formula probably packed quite a punch and the new formula likely worked when used with the Jerry G method but any shampoo will do if you use bleaching and dyeing with it.  In the studies which follow, bleaching and dyeing alone greatly reduced the levels of drug residues in hair.  Therefore, unless you just have lots and lots of money, get a cheaper detox shampoo like Zydot Ultra Clean and use bleaching and dying by way of the Jerry G method.  It is scientifically proven to work. The Macujo method likely works as well, and recent studies have shown its effectiveness. Perming also reduces drug residues but not as effectively as bleaching and dyeing.  Have fun and keep your body private.
